Himalayan Gateway Trek

Went back to Nepal for a second time with Himalayan Gateway Trek and contemplating a third trip some time in the future. Though it rained our entire 5 days in the mountains but the Himalayas gave us a glimpse of her awe-inspiring self which was just about enough to captivate us all. Being soaking wet and hiking in the rain for 5 days weren't necessary easy for beginner hikers but the effort of Bipin, Niroj and Binod trying to make things a little easier for us has not gone unnoticed, from helping spotting leeches, flicking the leeches off us, making fire so we can get warm, drying our clothes and gear by the fire, to fixing our shoes so we can continue the hike. They were very polite and helpful, which all contributed to us having a good trip. Excited to explore more of the high mountains in Nepal with Himalayan Gateway Trek.

Beyond expectation! I traveled alone, It's my first time to Nepal and also first time trekking here. I planed for Kathmandu city tour and Mardi Himal trekking your team managed this trip smoothly. [ 1. You were on time 2. Given clear brief and many useful advice 2. You choosed good choice for client 3. Your team is very polite and nice Both for city team (Bipin & Binod nice brothers) and trekking team. ] The guide(Rabin) and porter (Sunjip) are helpful and polite. They always ask for make sure their client was ok or not. Even i'm solo femel traveler but felt safe.

Our group consist of 3 people, a couple and a friend who has no experience to multiple-day hiking. After we landed Binod provide a good clear brief to us from very 1st day and made us impressed. Whie trekking, guide (Kumar) and 2 porters have nice personality, don't rush and flexible in adapting the trekking plan as they see us walk slower when going rough downhill. While after trekking Bipin, Binod's brother, take care of us through cosy goodbye dinner and offer us to visit Boudhanath stupa before went to airport on next last day. Our trip was 9 days Mardi Himal route with 5 trekking days in early October 2024. Due to the late-season rain they suggested us to book domestic flight which went smoothly. The hotel choice both in city and along the trek are great as better than expectation. What we love most are 1) Professional communication 2) Always on time 3) Reachable if any need (both before trip and while in trip) 4) All their choice made are good even every drivers. 5) Guide was attentive to safety (AMS/night trek on view point day)

Expert Guides: the trip was incredibly knowledgeable about Nepal's history, culture, and flora/fauna. Their passion for the country was contagious!

What an incredible trek! My friend and I had such a great time and we sure appreciate the kindness, patience and professionalism shown, as well as your knowledge of the area and what we were experiencing. We both felt safe and supported, as this was a first mountain trek for both of us. I hope to meet you again in a couple of years, Binod and perhaps attempt a bigger challenge!
