Gosaikunda Lake Trek is known for popular as well as medium range trek in Nepal. Situated on the northern and eastern sides and surrounded by high beautiful mountains, Goisaikunda Lake offers fascinating sight. This place has high importance as a religious place therefor the lake also offers stiff challenge to the trekkers. The best approach to Gosaikunda is through Trishuli valley that is 71 kilometers from Kathmandu.

Glimpses of Sherpa life and lovely scenic views here rise the pleasure of the trek manifold. We can even acclimatize in some of beautiful places as Tharepati or Chandabari and Lauribinayak. One has to assumesharp ascent of 4380m while on trek path to Gosaikunda. The Langtang Mountain which is also locally called Langtang Himal, is anarealocated at the north part of the Kathmandu valley and south of Tibetan border. This village is very much interesting with banks of the Bhote Koshi river. The track gains elevation as you make your mode along the Langtang river, through forests of rhododendron (laliguras), oak and bamboo forests on the sophisticated reaches of the trail. Beside Gosaikunda Lake,additional lakes in the neighborhood are Bhairabkunda, Nagkunda, Surajkunda and Saraswatikunda.

Gosaikunda Lake is also known for the Frozen Lake since it remains frozen during winter. The trek generally starts from Dhunche and permits through lush green forest, varied sceneries and villages occupied by ethnic Tamang tribe. This trek will surely give anyone magnificent peace and helps in getting rid of demons.

Gosaikunda Pass Trek Itinerary Details

Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu

Once you arrive in Kathmandu, You will be warmly welcomed and greeted by our friendly staff at Tribhuvan International Airport. And transfer you to the hotel in Thamel, Overnight at Thamel.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (2,030 m) by Bus. 6-7 Hrs

Early morning, we drive from Kathmandu by local bus. We pass through the green and beautiful landscape, with terrace fields, green valley as well as splendid views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, and many more. We stay at a local guest house in Dhunche overnight.

Day 03 : Trek from Dhunche to Sing gompa (3,250 m). 5-6 Hrs

Today after having breakfast we start our trek toward Singompa. It takes 5-6 hours to reach Singompa. The trial goes slow up at the beginning and after crossing the Trishuli River the trial goes steeply up from the Gosaikunda Lake. The walk toward Singompa is pleasant crossing green pine forest. On the way, we can see many species of birds and wild animals. Overnight at Singgompa

Day 04 : Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda Lake (4,380 m). 5-6 Hrs

Upon leaving Singompa the trail cuts across the head of the final ridge and enters through forests as it crosses the head of a valley. Then we continue our trail across the head of a final ridge and soon we will be in the village of Lauribina. It offers us majestic views of   Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang Lirung, and Ganesh Himal. We will have lunch here and will continue our trek to Gosaikunda Lake through the rocky and slight trail, where we can see almost all the mountain ranges around and we will feel as if we are in heaven. Trek to Gosaikunda will be fascinating to the trekkers in a beautiful and glorious country like Nepal. We can feel utmost peace and comfort here. Overnight at Gosaikunda Lake

Day 05: Trek from Gosaikunda lake to Lauribina La (4,609 ) to Ghopte (3,440 m). 6-7 Hrs

Today is a challenging day of our trek as we will have to cross Lauribina La (4,609 m). Along the way, we will walk steeply uphill and cross the moraines. We will also pass three small lakes. After the Lauribina La Pass the trail goes down to Phedi and then continues up and down the rail to Ghopte through Pine and Rhododendron trees. Overnight at Ghopte.

Day 06 : Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang (2,470 m). 5-6 Hrs

After breakfast, we will head to kutumsang crossing small streams. The trail goes through the Rhododendron and Pine forest to Tharepati which is located on the ridge of a scenic valley. and continue the trek to Kutumsang. Overnight at Kutumsang.

Day 07 : Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani (2,165 m). 6-7 Hrs

After breakfast, we will leave Kutumsang for Chisapani, which takes approximately 6 hrs. The trail begins with ascending and down to Gulbhanjyang. And again ascend to Thodand and descend to Chipling where we will have our lunch and take rest. After lunch, we will continue trekking to Chisipani and stay overnight there.

Day 08 : Trek from Chisopani to Sundarijal (1,460 m) drive back to Kathmandu by private car

It takes approximately 4 hrs to reach Chisapani, mostly trail goes slightly downhill and plain. we will take a private car from Chisapani to Kathmandu which takes approximately 2 hrs. Overnight in Thamel.

Day 09. Final departure

It’s time to say Goodbye, Our representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport before 3 hrs of your scheduled flight.
