The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, passing through picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, rivers, and charming countryside villages. Along the way, you can enjoy stunning views of the Trishuli River and lush green valleys.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will have time to explore the beautiful lakeside area, relax by Phewa Lake, or enjoy the city’s vibrant atmosphere before preparing for the trek ahead.

Today we will start the day with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the gateway to the trek. From Nayapul, the trail gradually ascends through lush forests, terraced fields, and charming villages.

You will pass by the settlements of Birethanti and Syauli Bazaar before reaching Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village known for its rich culture and breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchhare. Spend the evening exploring the village and experiencing the warm hospitality of the locals.

Khayer Lake holds religious significance for Hindu pilgrims, especially during the Janai Purnima festival, when devotees from across Nepal visit this holy site.

Following breakfast, the trail continues towards Mohare Hill (3,300m).  The higher you go, the more rewarding the views become. The trek from Mohare Hill to Tikedhunga is mostly downhill and takes you through beautiful terraced fields, picturesque rural settlements, and lush forests. Upon arrival in Tikedhunga, you can relax and rest for the night, enjoying the peaceful surroundings after a rewarding trek.

Today after breakfast in Tikedhunga, you’ll begin your final descent towards Nayapul (1,070m), a journey that typically takes around 4 to 5 hours.  As you make your way down, you’ll cross several suspension bridges over the Modi Khola River, adding a touch of adventure to the trek.

Once you reach Nayapul, you will take a private vehicle for the 1.5-hour drive back to Pokhara (820m), where you’ll be able to relax and reflect on the incredible trek. You’ll enjoy the scenic drive, passing through small villages, lush forests, and the winding roads of the Pokhara valley, bringing you back to the bustling lakeside city of Pokhara. Transportation:

Transportation for the Khopra Danda Trek includes a scenic tourist bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The bus ride takes about 6-7 hours, providing trekkers with views of villages, rivers, and forests. Once in Pokhara, a private vehicle will transport trekkers to the starting point of the trek and later return them to Pokhara after the trek’s completion.

Typical Daily Schedule:

The trek usually begins with an early breakfast around 7:00 AM, followed by 5-7 hours of trekking per day. Trekkers stop for lunch at a teahouse, enjoying a meal before continuing their journey. By the afternoon, trekkers will reach their overnight stop, where they have time for rest, acclimatization, and exploration. The evening is spent having dinner, socializing with fellow trekkers, and preparing for the next day’s journey.

Accommodation & Meals:

Accommodation during the Khopra Danda Trek includes 2 nights in Pokhara at a hotel, followed by teahouses or lodges throughout the trek. Three meals per day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are provided, ensuring trekkers stay energized. Hot drinks such as tea and coffee are also included with meals.

Permits & Entry Fees:

To participate in the Khopra Danda Trek, trekkers are required to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) Card. These permits help maintain the trekking infrastructure, support conservation efforts, and ensure trekkers’ safety along the route.

Trekking Support & Safety:

The Khopra Danda Trek package includes an experienced, licensed, English-speaking trekking guide to provide navigation and insights. Porters are also provided at a ratio of one porter for every two trekkers, each carrying up to 15 kg per person.
