The trek begins from Pokhara, a picturesque city located by Phewa Lake. Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400m / 4,593ft) and transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal, our friendly team from Himalayan Gateway Trek will be there to greet you with a warm welcome and take you to your hotel.
Once you arrive, you’ll receive a warm welcome, with staff presenting you with traditional flower garlands. They will assist you with the check-in process and make sure you’re comfortable. Afterward, you can relax and get ready for your adventure the next day. In the evening, walk around Thamel and have dinner whenever you like.

Day 2: Fly / Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m) by VIP Sofa Tourist Bus
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, passing through small towns and beautiful landscapes. Pokhara is a charming city nestled beside Phewa Lake, offering views of the Annapurna range.
Day 3: Drive to Jhinu Dada & Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m)
After the breakfast we will take a private jeep to Jhinu Dada , after lunch at jhinu dada we will start ascending through stoney steps You’ll arrive at Chhomrong, a large Gurung village, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna range, making it a perfect spot to soak in the breathtaking mountain scenery.
Day 4: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2,510m)
Descend into the valley, crossing the Chhomrong Khola, and then begin your ascent toward Dovan. The trail winds through dense bamboo forests, where the air grows cooler and fresher. As you climb, you’ll begin to feel the change in altitude, with the landscape becoming more rugged and remote.
Day 5: Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3,210m)
The trek is shorter but steeper as you move toward higher altitudes. The scenery becomes more rugged and alpine, with rocky terrain and sparse vegetation. As you approach Deurali, the views of the surrounding peaks grow even more stunning, offering breathtaking glimpses of the towering mountains and pristine landscapes.
Day 6: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m)
This is the highlight of the trek as you make your way to Annapurna Base Camp. Surrounded by the towering Annapurna range, you’ll be treated to 360-degree views of snow-capped peaks and glaciers, with the grandeur of the mountains creating an unforgettable experience.
Day 7: Trek From Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,345m)
After spending time at Base Camp, begin your descent to Bamboo, retracing your steps through the forests and villages. The route offers a fresh perspective of the landscape, with the lush forests and mountain views appearing in a new light as you make your way back.
Day 8: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,760m) & drive back to Pokhara by Private jeep
Trek through forests and small villages as you make your way to Jhinu Danda, a peaceful spot known for its natural hot springs. after that we will taake a private jeep back to Pokhara.
Day 9: Fly ( 30 min ) /Drive back to Kathmandu. 6-7 hours
On the final day of our adventure, we will make our way back to Kathmandu, either by a short flight or a scenic drive. If you choose to fly, the journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes about 30 minutes.
If you prefer to drive, the journey will take around 6 to 7 hours. This scenic drive winds through beautiful countryside, offering glimpses of traditional villages, terraced fields, and the rivers that flow through the valleys.
After you arrive in Kathmandu, you can go for shopping souvenir.

Day 10: Final Departure.
On the final day of your journey, you will be transferred to Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to do some last-minute shopping or explore the city.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Map
Essential gear includes sturdy trekking boots, down jacket, thermal layers, sleeping bag (rated to -20°C), and trekking poles. Technical climbing gear is not required, but quality cold-weather clothing is essential. Don’t forget camera equipment to capture the aerial views during the helicopter return.
Porter weight limits are strictly enforced: 18kg per porter, shared between two trekkers (9kg per person). Extra luggage can be stored at your hotel in Kathmandu.
Focus on lightweight, multi-purpose clothing that can be layered. Rental equipment is available in Kathmandu for items like down jackets and sleeping bags.

Evenings are spent having dinner and preparing for the next day’s trek.
Flight Delays & Transportation: No flights are involved in the Annapurna Base Camp Trek; the journey begins with a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Road conditions can be unpredictable, so it’s advisable to have buffer days in case of delays, particularly during the monsoon season.
Visa: A Nepal visa can be obtained on arrival at Kathmandu Airport, with a fee of $30 for 15 days and $50 for 30 days. Be sure to bring passport-sized photos and USD cash for a smooth visa process.
Travel Insurance: It’s essential to have travel insurance that covers trekking at high altitudes, above 4,000 meters, and includes emergency evacuation. The remote nature of the trek necessitates this coverage.
Currency Exchange: You can exchange major currencies in Kathmandu, but there are no ATMs along the trek. It’s recommended to carry enough Nepali rupees for personal expenses, as teahouses and shops only accept cash.
Extra Expenses: Budget around $25-30 per day for additional costs, including hot showers, Wi-Fi, snacks, charging devices, and meals not included in the trekking package. Donations at monasteries and occasional transport fees should also be factored in.
