Makalu Region Trekking

Makalu Region which is situated in the estern part of Nepal is one of the forthcoming topographical bueuties controlling the past empire of Gorkha. This region offers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. The trail takes you from the steamy lowlands of Tumlingtar on the Arun River, through one of the least frequented areas of Nepal, to the base camp of Makalu [8475m]. From this trail we can pass about 6000m pass the, then get in Everest region too. The trial further goes through beautiful valleys, mountains like Mt Everest, Lotse, Amadublum, Makalu, flower and fauna, lake and Glacier. Were natural beauty will appear at its best. People here worship Buddhism as a main religion, so you will find Buddhists flags in places.

The major source of attraction is village and people living there. They are simple, warm hearted and we can experience their life style and culture. There is wide range of climate variation and offers rich variety of flora and fauna. You will follow Hile or Tumlingtar trail up to the Arun Kosi and then further uphill ridge to Sedua and Num, then cross Shipton La Pass (4260m) through the upper Barun Khola Valley enjoying up- close sights of Mt. Makalu and Mt. Chhamlang. During the trek you will see orchids and other alpine flowers along the jungle trail.
