Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal Treking is one of the most beautiful trekking destinations in Nepal & it is getting popular every year.

During this trek, we will explore Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) & Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m), from where you can see the magnificent view of Mount. Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli , Gangapurna , Gandharbachuli, Fishtail and many more. We can also see the Annapurna Glacier. The Annapurna Massif where the tenth highest mountain Annapurna lies is the home to a thirteen other eight thousandeers and more than fifteen over the height of 7000m.

This trek lies in Annapurna Conservation area and goes through the Rhododendron Forest and Gurung villages and You will be able to observe the lifestyle of local people closely .  The Annapurna trails are amazing. Tea houses are almost everywhere, where you can relax, have lunch and if necessary stay a night to acclimatize. To trek to the mountains is the best gift one could give him/herself. Often people say, to trek is to live. The mundane lifestyle we live sometimes call for a gift to escape life so it doesn’t escape us.

DETAILS ITINERARY

 

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, and stay overnight.

We heartily welcome you to Nepal. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will be waiting you outside, greets you with great reverence and earnestly transfers you to the hotel & briet about the trip. Before dinner, you could walk around Thamel or spend time as you wish. Overnight at Kathmandu


Day 02: Fly /drive  to Pokhara by Tourist bus,stay overnight. 7-8 hrs drive, 20 minutes flight

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to Tourist bus Park and take a bus to Pokhara. Total distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara is about 205 km but it takes approximately 8 hours due to narrow road and the bumpy highway. The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara gives us scenic pleasure of terraced farmland and countryside. Passing many rural settlements, following the Trishuli River and Marshyangdi.You can enjoy the night city tour in pokhara and lake side of pokhara on the beach of fantastic Fewa lke. Overnight at Pokhara.  Or you can take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes only 20 Minutes to reach there.


Day 03: Drive to jhinu Dada then trek to upper sinuwa 2,360 m) , stay overnight. 3 hrs drive and 5 hrs trek – 9 KM

After breakfast, we will take a private jeep from Pokhara to Jhinu dada which takes around 3 hours. After reaching at Jhinu dada, we will cross the long suspension bridge and start our trekking to Upper sinuwa (2,360 m) .Since it is the first day of your trek you will find it difficult however the beautiful mountain view along the way will help you to forget then pain. The trail goes slightly uphill through the stony steps until we reach to Chomrong Village where you can have your lunch. After that we have to go downhill until the chomrong river then we will again climb uphill until Upper Sinuwa and stay overnight there.


Day 04 : Trek from upper sinuwa to Deurali (3,210 m ),stay overnight.6-7 hrs – 12 KM

After breakfast we start a trek to Deurali for 6 to 7 hours. From Sinuwa to Bamboo, the trail passes through the secluded forest where from the top of the forest, the waterfalls shooting off the steep walls of the gorge. After this we reach to Dovan. After one hour 15 minutes, we reach to the place called Himalaya at an elevation of 2,900 m. We trek passing rhododendron and bamboo forests, and reach to Hinku where there is a Hinku cave. The track is narrow and huddles up against the cliffs. After 2 hours of walk from Himalaya we, reach to Deurali, located at 3,220m high from the sea level. Overnight in local guesthouse at Deurali.


Day 05 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). 4-5 hrs. 9 KM

After breakfast at Deurali, we gradually climb through a river bed over the vertical way to the mountain side. Hiking from Bagar to the Macchapuchhre Base Camp is tough, exhausting. After this the view from there is marvelous especially of Mt. Macchpuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna Massifs and Gangapurna etc. We are not able to see the vegetation and the path broadens while entering to the Annapurna Sanctuary. We can go over the moraines under the cliff. There are few tourist lodges in the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. After 2 hours walk from the Macchapuchhre Base Camp, we reach to Annapurna Base camp.Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.


Day 06: Trek from ABC to Bamboo / upper sinuwa (2,340 m), stay overnight.. 7-8 hrs   (18 – 20 KM)

This morning you must wake early to watch the sunrise over Annapurna I and South, the sight is breathtaking. Its 360 degree view of Annapurna sanctuary. After breakfast we will start our journey towards Bamboo. We will descend the same way back to Deurali to Himalaya to Dovan to Bamboo. If you are tired we can stay overnight at Bamboo otherwise we will trek to upper sinuwa and stay overnight there.


Day 07: Trek from sinuwa to Landruk (1,500 m),stay overnight. 5-6 hrs – 14 KM

After Breakfast, we will start our journey towards Landruk Village, it is a Gurung Village , the local  peoples are very nice and they offers us Organic Food, th. The trails begins from Sinuwa to Jhinu dada in the same way, after crossing the bridge we will be heading towards Landruk and stay overnight there.


Day 08: Trek to Rest Camp (2,700 m) ,stay overnight. 5-6 hrs – 8 KM

After breakfast, we will start our journey towards Forest Camp, The trail goes through the forest and the stony steps, we will have our lunch at Forest Camp and trek around 30 minutes from there to Rest Camp and stay overnight there.


Day 09: Trek to Mardi Himal High Camp (3,550 m) ,stay overnight. 6-7 hrs trek – 10 KM

Having breakfast, we follow the trail that goes through the forest enriched by mosses, lichen, tree ferns, and orchids. The trail traverses towards the Annapurna South and far below, towards our left we see the Modi Khola Valley that leads up to the Annapurna Sanctuary. After short, steep climb we get out of forest and hit the ridge, grassy and some parts full of snow, takes us to the High Camp. From here, the Annapurna South and Machhapuchre seem very close. Overnight at High Camp.


Day 10 : Early morning hike to view point (4,200 m) / Mardi Himal base camp (4,500 m) and back to high camp, stay overnight. 7-8 hrs.- 8 KM

Mardi Himal Base Camp is the highest point of this trek. We have to wake  up early in the morning and set out for the hiking. The sunrise over the mountains would be fantastic. We follow the narrow paths through the Rocky Mountains. We will have our breakfast at View Point (4,200 m) with the beautiful Mountain View then we will hike around 2 hours then we will finally reach to the point, after spending quality time there we will be back to Hotel. Overnight at Mardi Himal High Camp.


Day 11 : Trek to sidding village (1,280 m) , and drive back to Pokhara by Private jeep,stay overnight. 5-6 hrs Trek & 1 and half hrs drive – 13 KM

After breakfast, we descend down through the forests and terraced fields. We arrive at Mardi Khola. From Mardi Khola, we take the trail following the bank of Mardi Khola to the village of Siding. The picturesque sight of farmland, paddy fields and less walked trail show the virginity of this region. After this, we reach into the idyllic countryside- Siding. And we will take a private jeep to Pokhara. stay overnight at Pokhara.


 Day 12: Fly /drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus, stay overnight. 7-8 hrs drive, 20 minutes flight

It is 205 km from Pokhara to Kathmandu and takes about 6-7 hours. The drive is unforgettable through villages, terraced fields and the forested hills above the road. More than that, on the way back to Kathmandu, we follow the river and streams, cross many bridges and junctions. After arrival, we go to hotel to check in and in the evening, we will have dinner together with typical Nepalese Cultural Show. Overnight at Kathmandu. Or you can take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes only 20 Minutes to reach there.


Day 13: Departure to your Home.

We transfer you 3 hours before your flight time. You could utilize the rest of the time for buying dainty gifts to your family members, friends and relatives.

Nepal visa

Tourist who intends to visit Nepal must hold a valid passport and visa.

You may get your tourist visa in your home country or on arrival. We recommend you to get your tourist visa on arrival as it is very easy. To get your visa on arrival, you must have a valid passport and 2 passport sized photo with a light background.

Tourist Visa fee for visitors who enter Nepal for the first time in a visa year, from January to December:

Tourist visa extension facility:

Himalayan Gateway Trek  usually books hotel accommodation for you in cities on  Bed and Breakfast basis as your requirements. During your trek you can stay in a local tea house or camp. It depends on your wishes. While you are on a tea house trek, Himalayan Gateway Trek  invites you to choose the food you like for your breakfast, lunch and dinner from the menu. Our experienced guide will help with selecting and ensure that you get hygienically prepared, plentiful and healthy food. Most tea houses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as seasonal vegetables.
